Kilroy Realty Fills 65,000 Square Feet at Westside Media Center; Immortal Entertainment Group Signs On, Joining Kilroy Realty at Its New Headquarters

LOS ANGELES, Aug 13, 2002 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Kilroy Realty Corporation (NYSE:KRC) has announced tenants for 65,000 square feet at Westside Media Center with Immortal Entertainment Group, a diversified entertainment company led by founder and CEO Happy Walters, signing on for 24,000 square feet and the company's own headquarters occupying 31,000 square feet.
Immortal will join Kilroy Realty in the second building of the three-building complex at Olympic Boulevard and Bundy Drive in West Los Angeles. Other entertainment tenants signed for the building include Mark Gordon Productions, producer of such hits as "Saving Private Ryan" and "Speed," Mercury Media and Waronzoff Associates.
"The design and ambience of the Westside Media Center are ideal for these creative companies," said Kathy Delgado, senior vice president of Kilroy Realty.
Founded in 1992 by CEO Happy Walters, Immortal's nine divisions span the full spectrum of the entertainment business from film, television and music production to talent management including sports and tours and live events.
"The entertainment industry continues as a strong pillar of our economy," said Delgado, noting that accessibility to sound stages at AT&T's Digital Center that anchors the Westside Media Center is an additional draw for many entertainment related companies.
Kilroy Realty relocated its headquarters to the Westside Media Center in May. The interiors were designed by Aref and Associates. Immortal will move its 70 employees to its new headquarters space in September.
The Westside Media Center, at Olympic Boulevard and Bundy Drive, sits in a campus environment with one and a half acres of landscaped public spaces that include seating areas, gardens and fountains and features an outdoor meeting space as an alternative to a conference room. The phase two and three buildings are each 151,000 square feet with large floor plates, 15-foot high ceilings, and patios with mountain and city views. The final phase three building was just completed in June of this year.
Immortal was represented by Brad Gross of Equis, Mark Gordon was represented by Chris Houge of Insignia and Mercury Media was represented by Craig Miller of The Stone Company.
